I tried that and ran it and it said the cache had been cleared but when I look the tmp directory is still 132GB full. I've also read that by using the gacutil.exe it should clear the tmp cache. I've read in a couple of places that the tmp directory should be "self cleaning" but it's not and the server is down to its last 500MB. I un-installed the client connector and now the disk space has stopped filing, which is a relief. I used a product called Treesize to identify what was eating all the disk space, I realized that the disk space was being eaten up by the Microsoft Small Business server client connector constantly updating the server Assembly with updates that kept failing. I investigated the problem and found that of the 160GB of disk space over 132GB of disk space was being used for C:\Windows\Assembly\tmp I have a Win 2k8 R2 server which has run out of disk space.
